Children all over Leicester are getting involved in the King Richard III story. Dovelands Primary School more than most!
Headteacher Sara McAdam said “We had a week at Dovelands Primary School where children learned about King Richard III, and carried out activities on this theme. We were thrilled with the art work across the school, which ranged from portraits, to stained glass windows, to a whole class portrait made from lentils! The week started with an assembly and ended with an open afternoon where parents came and looked around the school. We are also involved in the procession this Sunday, and, as one of only ten school in Leicester taking part, we are thrilled to be part of these events.”
Many of the pictures are now on display at Cank St Gallery so do pop in and take a look
