The Cathedral Quarter Partnership are inviting interested teachers to join a new Teachers Advisory Panel.
King Richard III Visitor Centre, Leicester Arts & Museums, Leicester Cathedral, Leicestershire Heritage Services and the University of Leicester are working together to ensure that teachers are able to easily embed all aspects of the Richard III story into their curriculum. However, to guarantee that these resources have the maximum learning impact we need the help of trained and experienced teaching professionals; people like you!
Not only will the Teachers Advisory Panel give you a unique access to this story of national and historic importance, it will also offer potential career-enhancing CPD opportunities and experiences. In addition to helping us develop focussed educational resources, members of the TAP will have opportunities to engage with key figures involved with the excavation, research and re-interment of Richard as well as privileged access to the key sites now associated with him.
The inaugural TAP meeting will be held at the King Richard III Visitor Centre on Wednesday 4th March from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. This initial meeting will offer an opportunity for teachers to meet the partnership team and discuss their plans, and explore differing levels of engagement and commitment to the panel.
